When should I arrive for my service?
We always recommend that our guests arrive at least 10 -15 minutes prior to their spa services to allow themselves to get accustomed to their spa environment, place personal items away, complete the client intake form, and change into their robe and slippers, provided not necessary (if desired).  Before your spa treatments begin, we highly encourage the use of our rest room area before beginning your spa treatments.


How far should I disrobe for my Bodywork Therapy?
Once you are in your treatment room we suggest that you undress to your level of comfort for your spa services.  A robe and slippers are provided and undergarments are optional.  During your spa session, your spa technician will make sure you are properly draped for all of your spa treatments.  The only area being worked on will only be exposed to your spa technician.


Are there any guidelines for booking a spa appointment?
Please have your Gift Certificate# or Voucher#, and/or Credit Card# available when booking your spa reservations. This is to secure your spa appointment; your credit card will be charged this is highly recommended, appointments will not be made without it.     Also, please bring your gift certificate or voucher coupon to the spa at the time of your spa appointment.  Please note SpaKhaiYah'saccepts up to 3 highly discounted vouchers (50%-70% off or more) per year.   If you fail to honor our cancellation policy you could be charged as well. 


Are there any other spa guidelines?
Smoking and the use of all  cell phones in the spa are not welcome, due to the fact that we have created an atmosphere of calm, well-being and a vacation from the outside world.  Also, please turn off all cell phones .  Also, please remember to use your quiet spa voices, as we are not to disturb others.  Please inform your therapist of any medical conditions, broken skin or medications you are taking if they might affect the results of your service. 


Can I get a refund?

Gift certificates are refundable within 24-48 hours from date of purchase with receipt.  Products that are unused are refundable 7 days from the date of purchase with proof of purchase.  Series & memberships are not refundable.  Any cash or credit card returns will be refunded  within 21 business days.


I purchased my voucher online through a third party can I get a refund?

You must call their customer service to find out their refund policy. 


Can my child come with me to the spa?
We love children atSpaKhaiYah's, but we cannot supervise unattended children. They must be accompanied by an adult and remain in the waiting area so that other spa clients may completely enjoy their services.  Children may not accompany their parent into a treatment room due to the fact that safety cannot be guaranteed.


How do I handle tipping?
Gratuities/tips are optional according to your treatment and overall spa experience, however, as a rule, if you were more than satisfied with your service and feel a tip is warranted tip generously.  On purchases made through our online  offers such as Groupon, Living Social, Spa Week & etc., we ask that our customers be generous on  tipping at least the minimum of 10% on the FULL VALUE, not the purchased amount, being that your savings are already discounted considerably. 


The general rule on tipping is approximately 10%-20%.  It is perfectly appropriate for you to use your discretion on the amount of the tip. Tips can only be left in cash or on a credit card.  Please do not  leave any money in the treatment rooms.  All tips are taken to the front upon checking out.


If I do not show up for my spa appointment, will I be charged?
Yes, if you have not contacted the spa you will be charged a surcharge of 25% on Sunday-Friday, 50% on Saturday and 100% onHoliday weekends  unless you cancel at least 24 hours in advance.


If my gift certificate or voucher expired, can I still use it?
if you purchased a Groupon/Living Social Voucher, Spa Week  you may call the spa to see if they will give you an additional 60-day extension to give you more time to use your voucher.  Otherwise, your voucher is subject to be forfeit.  After 1 year, within 60 days of your expiration, you may also renew your gift certificate  or voucher coupon by paying a  20% of the value of the certificate or voucher.


How old do you have to be to enjoy a service?
Minors that are 15 years of age or older must have a guardian or parent sign a consent form before services can commence.  Minors 15 years of age or older need to be accompanied by an adult if they wish to have a massage or body treatment.


What if I am late for my spa appointment?
The client following you is entitled to his or her full appointment time.  Arriving late for your appointment will minimize the duration of your service. Your service will end at the scheduled appointment time to ensure that the next guest’s scheduled service will not be delayed.


Promotions:
Certain discounts or promotions may not be available for Saturday or Holiday redemption.


Are there spa services that require preparation?
Yes....Body Polish & Body Wrap services require skin that has not been freshly shaven due to potential skin sensitivity.  When receiving a body exfoliation please wait 24-48 hours after shaving due to the fact that this could very cause redness, & skin irritation.  Air brush tanning services & pedicure services are not offered right now, however, it does require spa preparation.


Is there a place to leave my jewelry and other valuables?
Baskets are available in your treatment room for your personal belongings, but we recommend that you leave your jewelry and any other valuables at home.  The Spa is not responsible for lost or forgotten valuables.


What do I do if I have any physical, medical or allergy concerns?
Please notify your office assistant when booking your spa treatments, as well as your spa technician at the time of your spa service, if you have any broken skin, any known skin allergies or if you are on any medications. We should also be made aware of any health conditions, physical disabilities or any possibility of pregnancy.  There are specific spa services which are not suitable for some medical conditions.
